Sway bar type lower control arm difference

There was a discussion of sorts in one of the other sections about the differences in the '65-72 A-body lower control arms when they have the sway bar option. Somehow that thread has disappeared, so, I thought I would post what I had posted there so others will know about it. The '65 and '66 models have a unique sway bar bracket tab. It has an extra washer welded to the eye on the bracket as seen in this photo. In '67 and up, that extra washer wasn't there. The '65-6 type and the '67-72 type will interchange. It's mostly an appearance difference with a very slight bushing location difference. Insignificant IMO, but, I'll leave that decision to you. If you're doing a 100% factory restoration, that might be important to you. I've also seen a difference in some of the welded-in bumper plates on later models, but, it's very hard to see the difference with the control arm installed in the car. It's mostly the width of the plate and how it's welded in place.
