Saw a mopar doing a second burnouts
There was absolutely no spin at 600hp
My research says the same 95 percent said outstanding tire all around
What do you say????
I am concerned for two things:
I will twist the stock dshaft like a pretzel and smoke the 3500 stall converter

The late great nitrous guru Monte Smith always said that drag radials were always harder on drivetrain parts than real slicks. Real slicks can still work with a some wheelspin, and sometimes a little extra wheel speed can be beneficial. Drag radials need to be dead hooked, if they spin the only way to get them hooked up is to pedal it. The dead hook can be more shock (stick trans or transbrake) to the drivetrain than a spinnin-a-little slicks.

I've never run their drag radials. I ran their bias ply ET Streets a long time. And I can say from experience they hook like a **** too.

I run 275 50 15s Nitto drag radials and sometimes they dead hook at 4000,it took about a month or two to break a ujoint that let go at about 75 , trashed the drive shaft crack the bell housing bent the front yoke, broke the shifter bracket it sounded like the crank fell out of it. My point be ready for those tires they might as well be slicks.I would definitely upgrade motor mounts drive shaft u joints and possibly yolks. My setup is a four-speed but only about four and a quarter horse.

If I want to burn out I have to just go for it dump the clutch and don't give the tires a chance if I piddle fart around it will hook so hard that they will slip my ram competition clutch pretty easily! But they are badass

I've run both. The M/T bias tires always hooked. Had to air down some to do it. A little wishy-washy on the big end. Put some Hoosier drag radials on. Foot braking, immediately picked up a nickel on the 60, and 10 on the big end. Used trans brake with both. Never an issue with the bias. Absolutely had to use the two step to be able to NOT spin with the radials and the brake. Had to do a lot of suspension tuning as well to maximize the radials. They are quicker. But, you gotta work for it.

As a tech inspector at the track I see these tires all the time ,although technically not a slick they don’t need a drive shaft loop I tell all the drivers that they hit as hard as a slick and strongly suggest installing a loop .
