one of the sunflower yellow fastback M-Code cars is currently on ebay for sale. the car looks nice but i think the hood stripes are a cheaper quality than the Phoenix Graphics ones.

the beginning bid was listed as $63k but there have been no bids on this car. it might be that this car is not as nice or correct as the other M cars out there or that the market for these cars has now dropped significantly.

Not sure if this is the same one, but quite a few years ago a father-son project from Canada included an M Code this color. Non matching drive train and they mounted the washer bottle on the opposite side of the engine bay.

The problem is the color, Y3 is just nasty! The car looks well done and correct however...

Not quite a high impact color, eh? Personally, I think the painted rims are overkill, too much Y3! I think the 63K starting bid is just free advertisement for that car dealer, not a serious offer.

Not an expert, just asking a question, is the hood stripe supposed to line up on the Plymount emblem like that on the front? That looks weird to me.

Yes, I think your correct, looks off.

The description just says yellow. Y3 is cream colored. It could be Y2. I don't see any fender tag either.

Here are a couple of pictures I have, not real good images, but there are some different locations for sure.

Looks like they used Y2 paint on thE car. Also looks like the stripes are gloss black so possibly painted on?

Kind of impossible to put those stripes on incorrectly. The scoops determine where they go. All the cars pictured here look O.K. The location of the emblem varies quite a lot. That's all that looks "wrong" especially on the white car (PL-9347).

Stan, the bronze car was mine. I painted the hoods stripes myself after examining many pictures of original cars. I can't swear that where the stripe meets the plymouth emblem is absolutely correct, but I can say that the spacing on some of those pin stripes around the main stripe is way too wide.

The Yellow car has been offered for sale on Ebay off and on over the last 5-6 years I'm aware of. Price is about the same now as it was the first time I saw it on Ebay. I'm always a little leery of these mega sellers and hesitate to buy from them even if car was within my budget.

The White car isn't a real cuda package car. I believe it's a Formula S. The scoops were put on by the dealer from what I understand and it was striped or re striped a time or two. I'm guessing the Plymouth emblem was put on by Stevie Wonder.

I think yours looks the closest. But again, I was just looking at the pictures and it caught my eye. I am sure Plymouth had a design in mind.
I put a stripe kit on my Shelby Dakota years ago and that was a *****!

Fender tag is included in the eBay ad, Y3 Cream...

and I think green interior.

... so complete exterior and interior color change.

Originally: Cream, black stripes, green interior.

looks like an older resto that’s just been perfumed up for a sale. New tires, new ultra shiny repro steering wheel, new repro hoses.

the interior metal trim looks like it was painted during a sandstorm.

if "price paid" for a M-Code 69 Cuda has a direct correlation with the "correctness" or "value" of one of these cars, the following two cars are the most expensive examples i have in my files.

the B-5 Blue car was advertised twice as being the "first" M-Code Cuda built in 1969. it is from out west (L.A. or San Francisco or maybe Seattle) and last sold in 2018 (i believe) for $75,000. the second car below is a turquoise blue car that was sold a Barrett-Jackson (i think) for (again i believe) $72,000. i have now seen probably 5 M-Code fastback cars that appear to be "perfect" and bringing the most money for these cars. obviously, i may not know of other cars out there that may have sold for even more than the two here. i believe the yellow car in this posting has the wrong hood stripes. i think they should be flat black "tape" instead of gloss black paint and i think the "surround" small stripe is too narrow. there might be other "misses" on this car keeping it from the "perfect" category. i know when i last looked at the ad on ebay a few minutes ago, the seller had extended the ad another 4 days and there had been no bids for the $63k opening price bid.

supposed first M code sold 59k on Feb 2014.jpg

UPDATE - January 22, 2021 at 11:30 Eastern Standard Time (U.S.).

i checked the ebay site and the listing had ended on the yellow M-Code. there were two bids for $63,675.00 and this amount did not meet the "Reserve" the seller had established for the car. so it did not sell.

if i were the owner of the yellow Cuda, i would have let it go for $63,675.00 given the falling market for these cars. but who knows, there may be someone out there with a lot of money and and massive desire to own a Sunflower (?) yellow 69 440 Cuda. i wouldn't give that kind of money for this car and apparently a lot of other guys didn't think the car was worth in the $63k range either.
