Yeah, after I get the 2-year tags on it in June I'm gonna do a freshen-up on the 273.
It get's about 125/135 psi in the Cyls when its cold. She can barely get out of her way.
For now tho, I'd be happy to stop the Smoking. It's Embarrassing watching the people behind me Die when I leave a light. Lol

Actually 125-135 psi is about right for a 273 with 2 barrel pistons. What oil are you using? Do you know what work was done to the 273? Have you adjusted the valves? You can use a later intake with your 1965 heads by using a tapered washer, McMaster-Carr. Oil can also be sucked past the stupid steel shim intake gasket, try a good set, PLYMOUTH Fel-Pro 1243 Fel-Pro Performance Intake Manifold Gasket Sets | Summit Racing. Also make sure your passenger side exhaust manifold heat riser is not stuck closed. A straight thru exhaust similar to the 65 Commando 2.5 OD exhaust will also help.
