Post Some Country Music That Doesn't Suck

-
Kinda makes you wonder, what country singers are going to be remembered with the respect and admiration of Marty Robbins Merle Haggard Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Hank Snow, etc in lets say 50 years?
Other than a few new country sucks, luckily we have Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, and the likes to make real country music! Fortunately for me I like all kinds if music. Im sure most of you older guys don't like rap, but there is some fantastic new rap artist out there right now kinda makes up for all the sucky ones in the 2000s so hopefully country will have a similar turnaround.

Rusty, I gave up trying to find good country when this modern pop crap started coming out. May have to start looking again.
If you have satellite radio check out Outlaw Country for good newer artists but not the modern pop crap. Not necessarily new artists but check out James Mcmurtry, Shooter Jennings, Lucinda Williams, Hayes Carl, Steve Earl, John Anderson, Whitey Morgan, The Bottle Rockets. I call it Progressive County.

There have been some great female country singers as well. Loretta Lynn, Brenda Lee, Reba,Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton.

When I think of songs like El Paso, Big Iron, Ribbon of Darkness and especially "Don't Worry" man it gives me goose bumps.

And if you just want to have fun...Southern Culture on the Skids.

I believe you added to your list from your first posting of this, all are great!

Alison Krauss, Patty Loveless, Trisha Yearwood to name a few more.

In this new inclusive society all are welcome, special, talented, unique and we should all be more tolerant of each other’s tastes, and learn to be accepting. Yes sir, this here is country!!:wtf:

Saw this on Hee-Haw on CircleTV recently and it was the clothes that I couldn’t get past. Late 80’s were bad for that and hairdos, saw Sawyer Brown on another episode, same era and it was bad bad bad! Spiked hair, stone washed jeans tucked in their boots and just awful noise!
