New set sheared out and drilled one at a time, then slotted between the holes.

I bent the rest backwards by unintentionally flipping the part and following the slot slant. Oh well.. the 2 on the side will be backwards, nose will get the correct one.

My plasti dip is still good! Had it for years, sealed with tin foil.

Dipped and letting them dry, welding will happen another day. Tomorrow is shot going to get my new lift!!! :D

Thanks for this post. Picked up some date correct valve covers for my 69 Swinger with the same issue. I will be trying this method to repair them. Haven’t read your entire thread yet but saw pics of the car at the beginning, is that T5 Copper for the exterior paint?
