1969 Dodge Dart Swinger clean up
Doing some TIG welding that I shouldn't have to do on new parts.
Some crappy Monday morning beads. Better than the way it came.
Welded some gussets that I cut out to the engine mount restrictor, that I'd fabricated last week.
Gussets all in.
Plenty strong now to catch a broken engine mount.
New wiring tabs held in place with a magnet from below to locate it for looks. Note that TIG doesn't work right if you leave the magnet there..
Wish I'd bought the spot welder the local radiator shop had last year. Oh well, TIG it is and magnet moved from directly below the clip before welding.
One on. Didn't cook the plasti dip too much. Should have just brushed it on after the fact, as I touched them all up anyhow before paint.
Wiring tab going onto end of cover.
Tab welded in place. I then cleaned all the welds up smooth with a dremel burr after this shot.
