1969 Dodge Dart Door Exterior Rubber “Belt” Weatherstrip

When I roll the door windows down, all or part of the rubber weatherstripping goes downward into the door which causes friction. Is this normal? When I roll the window up the weatherstripping usually pops back up. I cleaned the rubber. When I put some 303 protector on the rubber as a lube, the friction got much worse (the whole weatherstrip flipped down into the door) and it was hard to roll down the window. Would Rain-x on the window help or do I need new weatherstripping? How is the weatherstripping replaced? I see one clip by the lock edge of the door. Hopefully, the door does not need to come apart.
