Something Came In A Big Box Today!

Blueprint dyno tests Every engine, with the carb/ efi unit that it goes out the door with.

Longblocks get dyno tested also, with a shop intake/carb

Nice to see a company successfully building impressive Mopar engines! Very nice work.

Agree on the Valve covers. I kept the steel ones on my 408 for 2 summers then went to the fabricated units. Wayy happier with them and no more leaks.

Congrats on the new motor. I don't think you'll regret the extra power. Better than going for less and wishing you had more IMO.

And yeah, @Johnny Mac is the man!

What headers are you running? Is the car a 4 speed? I'm debating between manifolds, or headers long vs short.

as a "stock specs" guy, i've never been a big fan of stroker motors but i'm kind of coming around now. i have a couple of probably dumb questions but:

1. how are stroker motors for "regular" driving on the street? can you drive these like a OEM motor without any real tuning/reliability issues?

2. is your 408 10.5 compression so it runs on pump gas?

3. are there different "sizes" of 340 strokers?

4. are 360 blocks better to do a stroker with instead of a 340?

5. also, would you mind sharing the price of your motor and where you got it? i have been considering swapping out a pretty stock 340 in my 68 Barracuda for a more powerful stroker small block.

Thanks for the interest in BluePrint Engines. I'm the Products Manager of the company and we are also a site sponsor. Happy to help.

All of our engines are pump gas, streetable, extremely reliable, offerings. All BluePrint Engines come with a 30 month warranty, as well as fully dyno tested.

2. is your 408 10.5 compression so it runs on pump gas? We have several versions. All pump gas friendly. Please see link at bottom of page

3. are there different "sizes" of 340 strokers?
340 blocks are very hard to come by. Starting with a 360, we build our 408 stroker.
4. are 360 blocks better to do a stroker with instead of a 340? In my opinion yes, because the blocks we use are roller cam ready. I love our aluminum head, roller cam version. Which is what the OP has.

5. also, would you mind sharing the price of your motor and where you got it? i have been considering swapping out a pretty stock 340 in my 68 Barracuda for a more powerful stroker small block.

5. Pricing and options are in the link below. Things to consider with any performance engine, is that the rest of the car also needs ready for the HP (mainly trans and Torque converter).

You may even be a good contender for our complete 408/727 complete package. Assuming your trans may be bone stock.

That it would, but those last few ponies are where it gets expensive. And we have to watch retail price. Not to mention, everything we do runs on 91.

Well ain't you a "fancy Nancy"!!!! Just kidding, congrats on this cool stroker!! I'd be proud too.
Hey man, can you loan me a twenty!!!

hi project manager guy...
thank you for the specific replies you posted to my questions. i have a collection of 68-69 Barracudas now numbering 5 complete cars (big blocks and 340's, all 4 speeds) and one parts car - along with a large amount of parts. i restore these cars myself and on the last car acquired, (a 318 auto), i'm considering doing a stroker/4 speed. i acquired this car at a very desirable price so there is ample room to invest some money in a nice drivetrain. i have saved your website and will probably be following up with a phone call with more specific questions. again, thanks for your posting.

Why you no make big block Chrysler offering?

Why you no make big block Chrysler offering?
The answer for that used to be "there are not enough cores available for a facility of our size to build them" (we build 50-75 engines a day here)
the new answer is, no one makes a cost effective, reliably available, RB block, and sales volume would have to match the investment, which it unfortunately doesn't.

Just start scrounging up RB & B 400 blocks in your spare time. If you build it, they will come.
