1 barrel blow through carb

Why boost through a 1 bbl carb... :realcrazy:

Why not a 2 bbl or 4 bbl carb for increased air flow???? :D

because the price of the supercharger is so low it would not make since to buy a new manifold and carb. I just want the wow factor of a supercharger if i wanted lots more Hp i would get the offenhouser 4bbl manifold a new carb but.... those parts together are 3x the price of the supercharger

I'm honestly not certain the one barrel carburetor would be enough for it.The last thing you want to happen is for it to lean out under boost.....and it WILL happen. Now, with the two barrel Super Six setup, all of that could be changed.

I say dare to be different. I'm watching.

I'm all for it. The problem those blowers are SMALL. They are only made for a range of about 1.0L to "around" 2.2L tops. You can overdrive them to meet demand, but they tear all to pieces. It's not hard to find information about them.

i dont care much about power i just have allwas wanted a super charger. couldent i just fun a larger pully to make less boost and not have the fuel problem

I can not spell. :realcrazy: I dont care much about power I just wanted a super charger. Couldn't i just run a larger pulley to make less boost and not have the fuel problem or the over driving problem.

That wouldn't be necessary, I don't believe. Just run a super six setup and it will probably run pretty good. I really don't think you'll have much luck with the one barrel. Hell try it. Stranger things have happened. Worst that can happen is you'll have a bunch of scrap metal layin in the street. It's not like you cannot find another slant six.

if i under drove the supercharger would there be a less possibility of it leaning out.

Yeah but then it becomes totally wasted money. If all you want is to look like a blower, make one out of cardboard.

Like i said i am not in it for the power my thinking is that i could get the supercharger and run it stock for now and when i have more money i could upgrade to a better fuel system. This way i could work out the fabrication of the mounting brackets and the plumbing. I just dont want to damage my engine

Then wait until you can upgrade the induction system, or else I believe you may.

ok so i have let this sit in my mind for some time and i deiced to switch over to a eaton m90 supercharger and mount is on the side of the engine and plumb a pipe to a carb hat. That does not get rid of my problem od leaning out though. I was wondering if i got a 1bbl to 2bbl adapter plate would that stop my problem. I would eventuily upgrade to a super six intake but i would have to find one first and save up.

That will be a huge restriction even going naturally aspirated, much less including the blower. I like the M90 idea, but save up for the super six setup. Why are you in such a hurry? You're going to regret it if you put it together like that.

not in a hurry i guess i can wait :(

do you know where i can buy a super six. i also have a spare 4bbl carb that i could convert to a blow through if i had the right manifold.

I actually have two intakes, but I really don't want to sell either one. I sold one a while back and regretted it, so I found another one to replace it. Put a want ad in the wanted section, but word of advice. As long as the seller will remove all of the studs, those intakes will fit in the "game box" flat rate box and ship flat rate....even the cast iron one. lol So keep that in mind. The seller will have to order them from the Post Office, but they're free.

I'm really not trying to piss in your corn flakes here. It's just my personal opinion you will really regret it trying to push that blower through a tiny one barrel. What is the hole in the intake? 1 7/8"? 2" That's just ridiculous. LOL

yeah first i have to get a blower than fab all the piping and mounting up and the belt. there is a large list of things before i ever hook it up. I can fab everything and save up for a offen houser intake too.

I'll tell you honestly, if you wait until you get a super six setup, I would try the little blower you first posted. It's really a tick small, but it would work. You could probably get it in the 5-8 PSI range and that would really make a difference. It's also really small and would hang on like an alternator.

i was think about the two and i was leaning twards the m90 because it is built for 3-5L. it all depends if i can find one at a junk yard and how much they charge.

The M90 will be difficult though, because of its rear inlet. That's gonna pose a clearance problem. I'm sure it can be worked around. Someone here had a blue early A station wagon with one, but they had to make some mods at the rear of the hood....and possibly the cowl I believe. I'll see if I can find some pictures.

i was thinking of mounting it below the manifolds where the power stearing pump goes and using a custom plates on the intake and base.
