Yep, I did it. Don't know him. Never knew anything about him. Emails are on point, we are working out how to reduce shipping cost, and I figured this is one time I just need to put it in a direction..... Member got it, payed asap, and we have had a conversation or 2 about people and how they act today....

Always trust your gut (or cape lol) and it will work out. I don't know that it would ever happen again with me but I am just relaying to the group that we have some solid people here.....

I was looking for a part for my south bend lathe, dude was making them and selling online.
I asked about price and shipping, and he sent the part. I mailed him a money order. I was quite suprised.

The last thing I would do is take advantage of someone and always send people parts so they can check them out before they pay me.
Maybe not a smart idea but I've never had a problem yet.
All the guys I would think are smart enough to know your *** is grass on here if you ever did not pay someone..

Certified lol.... It's why my medical records are pretty stacked now....

Do it alot. Mainly because I need to ship other things and save on time/gas, or Im going out of town.
Like mentioned, Usually can figure out the assholes........by their personality/character.
And definitely wouldnt do it if the Item was $100 or more

I once was in the business of manufacturing raised panel oak cabinet doors. I sent a set that retailed fairly at, IIRC, $1650 (1994 prices) out to a guy in Saskatchewan. The check bounced and so did the contact number.
I forgave the guy because I didn't want him to burn in the Lake of Fire over it, But I imagine, his life path is running in that direction anyway.
I never did that again. That was the equivalent more than one months NET income for me in 95.

But yes, on FABO and over on FMJ, I have done the same. You guys are great.

Could name him and we would stay away from him. I know you would never do that.

I have bad mouthed him immediately , every time he advertises , or some one mentions him or one of his products ! Hope it pissed him of to no end !!
He`s a scumbag slime ball in my opinion !

It comes back to those that take advantage of others I think.
Would do the same Bob.

Who was that??? I have a SB 14 that needs some stuff. Appreciate the lead.

I love hearing these positive things, especially in the social climate we are all living within at the moment. For the most part people have good intentions and in my opinion should be treated accordingly. In all the years I've been buying and selling auto parts with folks over great distances, I've been burnt twice. Yes it hurt at the time, but I chose not to allow it to affect how I behave in future dealings. Call me crazy perhaps? My rationale being this, if I change how I treat others in the future, because of what some idiot has done, I have allowed that idiot to change me. That is not something I will allow to happen. Until a person gives me a reason not to, I choose to give them the benefit of the doubt. Once a person has broken my trust, it is gone from that moment on.

One thing about a liar, no one believes them, even when they are telling the truth.

I always buy stuff I generally don't sell LOL.. I generally send a postal money order and tell the seller to get the money order put it in their account be all happy and cozy with the money and then send the part... Never had a problem...

Here, No prob.... Only problem I had was with a B body owner. Don Joslin, I still remember you owe me $100 or send my Predator carb back! What's $100 with 15 years interest?

I operate the same way. I rarely, if ever sell anything...and generally don't buy anything that I'm in a big hurry to get. 99% of the time, I pay with USPS money order, and text a pic of the money order filled out in the sellers name before I send it to him. I've only had to start 1 "Shame on so n so" thread for a seller drag assing around shipping me my part. That's pretty good, as much as I've bought off of here.
