DISCLAIMER - I'm a total newb when it comes to classic cars, but I have one and I want to work on it. Silly question, probably...I have a '66 Barracuda w/273. I've noticed the dash bezel doesn't have slots/holes for turn signal lights like most cars do. Also on the inside, to either side of the steering column on the lower lip of the bezel, the previous owner placed lights that blink when using the turn signal. Is this the normal setup or is it something that they decided to do to help them realize which light was blinking? It leads me to believe that this isn't normal and that they did this to help them out. The lights on the front of the car, the ones on top of the fenders that face the driver, blink so I can see them working so I have no idea why the ones under the dash are there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The Barracuda in '66 only had the fender mounted turn signal indicators, none on the dash. Sounds like someone added the extras that you have.

Cudamark is correct 66 B-Cudas had no in dash turn signal indicators, only the little fins on the front fenders. Those fin indicators can be real finniky to keep properly working when the go out, also. They are intricatley wired to the TS lamps in the bumper.
Incidentley those little bulbs in the fins can be hard to find. On my 66 those two are the only two incandesent bulbs I have left in my car. All the rest have been changed to LEDs.

My 66 B-Cuda is put away for the winter, but the Factory Service Manual has bulb # 330 listed for fender mounted turn signals.
Thanks for the link on the Bulbs.
