One of the best covers iv ever heard for this song!
 
My eye looked like that once when I got a shard of aluminum in it and they had to dilate it.
 
I, personally, am a fan of the Bad Wolves version. I’m a big fan of Tommy Vext the now former lead singer.

 
The vocal on the metal version ruin it for me...too 'wierd all Yankovic' ish

I wonder if the bass player wouldn't have done a better job at that?

I listened to the bad wolves version to, and I figured it out...you can not lament the Irish struggle for freedom without an Irish tongue

It was the everpresent accent that gave power to the original vocals

Which is also where the bad wolves fall short, because by changing the lyrics, the are removing the anchor to the easter uprising of 1916, and now the song has no cultural nor historical bearing

Dammit DIY! I was going to say that about the Cranberries version and you beat me to it...:mad:
None of the covers have the "edge" in them that can only come from being there.
