When I bought the 75110 Hedman's( 1 7/8" tubes, 3.5" collectors) for my Dart back about 23 years ago. There were 4 sets of these headers being made, 2 for the LA head exhaust port 1 5/8" tubes 3" col. , 1 7/8" tubes 3.5" col. and 2 sets for W2 heads 1 7/8" tubes 3" col. , 2" tubes 3.5" col. and all of the bends in the header tubes basicly look the same at that time. A few years after that I had heard that Hedman stop making them, and then I read a while back on this forum that Hedman started making the LA head headers again in 1 3/4" and 1 7/8" tubes, but I don't remember a mention of collector size. So I looked them up on there web site and all I could find at the time were LA 1 7/8" tubes 3.5" collectors, no LA 1 3/4" or W2 port headers. Now all they list is the 1 7/8' tubes with 3" collectors. So I would take SS Lancer advice and give them a call and then please let all of us early A owners know what Hedman had to say and what they are offering for headers now.
I'm looking for fenderwell headers for my -65 Valiant and would be interested in seeing pictures of different options. Current Hooker headers (which curl around frame rails) are just a constant nightmare, and I'm looking into replacing them with true fenderwells. I'm also wondering the design of these headers have changed. A lot of these old forum posts are saying that collector on 75110 headers is 3.5" but according to Hedman catalog the collector is 3".
