Thanks Keith, it's different, that's for sure. Here's a photo of a 2017 Chrysler 300 in Ceramic Gray, I really like this color and just picked up a pint of it to paint the dash with.

I've got one the last Prak dashes before they quit business again. Guess that I am lucky. My intentions are to use the Dakota Digital analog series of gauges. Actually, I have those too, but both the dash and gauges are 400 miles from where I live. That's where my cars are but hopefully the A body won't take as long to get done as the 38 has been.

Thanks for your comment Dan, I got three coats of clear coat sprayed on the dash frame and parts over the Christmas/New Years holiday, still need to finish sand and buff it out.

Wet sanding and buffing done, got the dash frame back in the car so I can install the radio and hook it into a sound bar that will sit on top of the rear deck for testing. Then I will install the climate control, gauges, ducts and duct hoses, put the glove box back together, mount the steering column and test it all out. When it's all good to go I intend to turn off all the lights in the garage and see what the dash looks like lit up, then I'm cranking up Highway Star to complete the experience. Will be the first time any of this has worked since 1999, time for a cigar and a whiskey! Then, back to reality and building the center console.

Back in the early 80s I worked PT in a Sears Automotive garage. They had fake hollowed out batteries on the sales floor. I'm pretty sure I snagged one when they threw some out and have it in my stash. If I ever go gen3 in my 68 maybe it could house the relay/fuse stuff.
