I know it been discussed has anyone found a proper solution to the center cap issue in running bullit rims on A body. I have the Dr Diff 13" front brake kit and Dr Diff 11.65 rear kit. Rears are easy just any push in cap works its the fronts that are the problem. The dust cap is nearly flush with the outside of the rim center. Need a push in cap that is domed to clear the dust cap.
Thanks

Fence post caps from Home Depot. They're a little small, my son made some thin nylon bands to fill the gap with his 3-D printer. Tapped them in nice and tight.

I don't remember anymore, the machinist did it when I handed him the center caps. They also opened up the back side to the diameter needed to fit over the hubs on the other side, which existed already, but they just increased the depth. You can see it in the 2nd picture if you look close. The cap step just has a slightly smaller hole overall.

Called Reilly motorsports, they stopped carrying that center cap, because Ford changed the wheel center. Not all of the Bullitt wheels are the same. I too am looking for a solution. Would prefer not to remachine the wheel for a singular purpose, ie, can't go back to Ford. Will go to a friend machinist and see what he thinks. I really liked the AR Engineering cap, exactly what I had in mind.

Well, here is what you get from ARE, AR 167 for about $168.00, that's with shipping and tax. Ordered mine through Hughes Engine. They are a little pricey, but they are very nice . Extra o-rings come with the set of four. I had to.smear a little silicone grease on the o-ring to get it in. This cap is around 7/8"" thick, the back side is machined out, should clear your dust cap on the fronts. Having said that, my car has 3/8" spacers on the front because of the interference between the ball joints and tie rod end. I will have to dismount my rear wheels and tires, the rear wheels are a different yr and backset, so need to get the hub machined to match the fronts. So it got a little expensive, these wheels were on the car when I bought it, and I liked them. They would look really nice if a guy could get the Mopar Mega M or Dodge lasered in. If I were starting from scratch, I don't know if I would have gone this way.
Pictures, both wheels
