someone only went and bought my oil drum bench seat i made for the garden

so this afternoon i made number 1 of a set of chairs for her.
''don't put these on ebay'' she said sternly once i'd finished it.

i painted the wooden boards and the inside a duck egg blue/green colour and just satin varnished the rusty outside once i'd taken the roughness off with a scotchbrite pad. i'm quite pleased with it.

no, my dad was english and mum was half scottish and half american (ww2 has a lot to answer for as grandad was posted over here then)

American ?? Native American ?? I like the seat, have some 55 gal. butts stop by when my brother visits
Pennsylvania american. mum tracked him down when she grew up and we've stayed in touch with our family there since including visits either way. we should have been over last september but covid f****d that up.

Oh, I didn't notice your from England, the term American threw me. Yeah we were talking of going to Italy this year, but that looks like it's out now also.
