I didn't know where to post this so here it is. A good Mopar friend of mine is restoring a 1927 Buick. All he needs is a starter switch. The one that you push with your foot to engage the starter. HAS TO BE FOR A 26,27,28 Buick or Cadilac. Maybe one of our members knows someone that may deal in the type items? Thanks

I'm thinkin he better be fixin to build/ rebuild one................

On a side note, a '28 Buick is what brought my Gramps/ Gramma/ would be Dad and the rest from beautiful downtown Burbank to the N end of Idaho in '32

Is this it?

He can pretty much make most anything. I'm thinking there must be a reason why he can't in this case. I dunno.

Same generic item is used in old walk behind pallet lifts to activate the pump and other places. Has he got a picture of what he needs, as I may have two different versions on my aircraft parts shelves...

My thoughts exactly, a picture or two would help if they can be had. I know someone who has a large selection of old GM electrical switches & might be able to find one if I had a picture.

Ok I couldn’t get a picture of the right one. But I got a picture of the one that was on it. A 28-32 style. Which worked half assed. He told me the correct one is about 1 to 1 1/2” longer.

Have you tried contacting Wayne with Old Gold? This seems like a part he would have in his bone yard. Awesome place to tour/visit if you haven’t been there.

I'm going to show Bob a picture of this one. Thanks

The photo you shared is very similar to my 51 Fargo. Foot pedal pushes on bendix lever, lever contacts starter button. The buttons should be repopped somewhere.

I googled 1927 chevy starter switch. Ebag showed a couple. They appear to be longer. Also try olds or pontiac.

Well the way I understand it the correct one is different. I have a guy sending me a picture of one he wants 100.00 for. Thanks for everyone’s help.
