Book calls it the brake reaction rod. It connects the lower control arm to a spot on the front frame.
Yeah, strut rod to us normal folks. It can be done without taking the LCA completely out, but you gotta knock the pivot pin, LCA and Torsion bar back a good ways, at that point, you may as well take it all out and what not. Rebuild the LCA while you’re at it

Buicks don't have torsion bars.

I already rebuilt the lower control arms. Just doing the finishing touches. So im gonna ratchet it back to make them line up as suggested on the forum.

Hey, I found the missing oil from the old Durango!! Must have been following too closely

Question, I have been priming my new engine with a drill, and I have a small oil seep at rear main. Normal considering I pressurized it without running, no back pressure to seal.

The oil shouldn’t leak. There is a seal failure.

It still shouldn’t leak...doesn’t matter who put it together.
Agree, but what a pain in the *** to replace!!! engine was ready to go to Dyno on Monday.....You do not expect something like this to happen.....

I’d say you have a problem and be calling the company you spent that dough in to be fixing it

“Warranty doesn’t cover seals or gaskets” hahahah kidding kidding, I have no idea if it does it not
Are you kidding?? Have to completely disassemble engine, pull crank to replace that seal!!! On a brand new expensive engine....

Yes I’m kidding, I honestly don’t know what their warranty covers or doesn’t. If it were me, I’d be like, fly a rep out here and rebuild this thing and get it sealed.
