Picked up a new Steeringbox for $100. Looks like a perfect match.
Made some progress today. Had to suspend the compressor and take the grill out in order to raise the condenser enough to get the cam out.
Nice find!! Where did you find that???

No it's the correct pitman arm. That did not come with the gear box. I had a new one. The photo just makes it look weird. It was on Facebook Marketplace for 17 weeks without a single hit or inquiries about it.

Sometimes you get lucky. Parts were being sold from a Gentleman that had passed recently. So a friend of the the family was cleaning out his garage.

Got backside of fenders painted satin black,channels orange and outside in primer.Ready to bolt on today.Backside and channel on the beak painted and ready to go also.Took all day yesterday to line up the doors and glass after roof rail seals were installed.Getting closer!!

Fitting head pipes
Got it put together with the new to me carb... struggled getting it to start yesterday. Changed plugs, reset floats, reset idle mixture screws, set throttle idle screw... got the beast to start! So stoked.

Funnier part... I havent even looked at a beer.... Just think of all the problems I'd have if I drank and "worked" on the car..

My wife would kill me. She's already pissed about the past 2 days trying to get the carb and car to work. Our baby has strep and isn't napping so she's super grumpy. Ive been a bad husband and dad with not helping much trying to get the car to run.

Got my valve covers back from powder coating. Not exactly Leannas caliber but they will do .

119733 is this number on top of my power steering gear box. How do I decode this to something meaningful?
Long week of fighting the carb... it kept flooding the engine... rebuilt it... secondaries needle immediately got stuck wide open and... waterfalled gas into the engine to flood it... changed oil... put wrong oil in it... changed oil again... out of zinc additive... will get some zinc additive in the morning then my buddy is coming over to help me tune the carb or throw it in the trash...
