K frame is for V8. Yes, the kit I got is /6 to V8, but would think that since the K frame is universal it would work.

If the K frame is for V8, it's not "universal", only universal for A engines. If you got the /6 to 340/360 swap brackets, then you got the wrong bracket kit.
