No Formula S cars came with scoops (M47 option). Only those ordered with the '69 only 'cuda package 383-A57 option code 440 A-13 option code. The A56 option code was the 340. There are a few scoops on Formula S cars but never an option. Usually customers had them mounted on their own or had a dealer install them after they took possession.

Hey Cudaman,
I'm thinking that was for the 340 or 383 - S Cuda' model only. With the Cuda' model you got the Black stripes across the hood leading into the scoops, the blackout strip under the doors and the CUDA' Decal on the fenders . Not 100% on this but im going to check an original showroom brochure I have to confirm when I get home. No doubt someone on here will confirm long before that!

one thing i did notice about the above car which is interesting is that it has factory power steering. that's a pretty rare option for a 383 4 speed car. you couldn't get PS in the 67 and 68 383 Barracudas but it was an option offered in 69. that particular factory option on a 383 car probably adds $1000 to the value of this car.

True. My first 69 formula S, in high school, was a 340. No need for power steering. These big blocks are nose heavy and the PS is nearly essential...

Guys, remember this is a for sale thread.
