Help an idiot fix his carb

Hush up dummy. Yer just as intelligent as anybody. See that screw Kitty has her finger on? THAT'S the idle screw for TQs that don't have the tab drilled that you drilled. Yours may be missing that whole piece. Pay close attention to it. It goes ALL the way back and attaches to the choke linkage so that when the choke closes, it causes the linkage to jack the idle up ad the screw Kitty has her finger on. If you have that linkage, you DON'T need the tab drilled, tapped and with a screw in it. The screw Kitty is showing IS the idle screw. Maybe post a picture of yours?

Mine does have that screw..I thought it was only for the fast idle adjustment only? So its also for the regular idle? WTH..makes sense but what has me confused is i have another 9077s on the car now, same carb, only difference is it does also have the idle screw.. so i may be confusing the quadrajet with this because they do have a separate fast idle screw adjustment from the rgular idle screw..but any idea why 2 identical carbs but 1 has the separate screw and one does not? Just trying to learn, thats why im asking. I appreciate the help!
