For an original engine, it is true that they do a good job, and if the engine is well maintained, with the changes of oil, filter and respect the maximum rotation limits of the engine. I already fit a lot of hydraulic lifters no problem. I find it unfortunate that the American manufacturers do not make more models of mechanical camshafts. but bom it is only an opinion.
In Europe it is very difficult to find hydraulic cams, the majority are mechanical.
