Getting ready to swap out my 7.25 in favor of an 8.25. Looks like it has the bracket for a pinion snubber but not the bumper. I’ve seen they make an adjustable one for 8.75s, but there seems to be little info on the 8.25. What are you all running?

I have a NOS one, snubber plate w/rubber bumper if interested in staying with a stock one.

I may be interested. I’d like to see what options there are for these. Sending pm

Rubber bumper used to be available aftermarket.
Im using an adjustable snubber now, Im not sold on it as of yet.
Im was getting a rear wheel hop. Ill have to look into it in the spring.

so the adjustable one didn’t stop the wheel hop? What kind of tires and springs you running?

I never had a wheel hop with the 14s.
Long story short. Bought car with 14s.
Had car in shop for disc brake conversion and LBP swap. Got car back, with issues.
After awhile, finally got car running decent. Was plagued with new carb issues and rear main seal leaking all over clutch.
Noticed wheel hop in the summer.
Car put away for winter.
Here I am, sitting around with 2-1/2 foot snow banks in 20° weather.
Ughh.:drama:

Ha that’s how these things go it seems! We’ve been in the teens and single digits so I have no motivation to get on that cold garage floor to swap in the rear. I have 14s and also 15s. Will be interesting if they act differently. I never would have thought doing what you’re doing would cause wheel hop
