Good Day all my Mopar Firm Grip Freaks !!!!
Cheers Mitch. I thought earlier that I had caught Covid. My taste was going away. But I discovered my Bourbon was just way too smooth. I tied into some spicy rye and sure enough, the ol' taste buds work jut fine.

Came home to a frozen water line. I have a fan in the pumphouse, it blows air around where lines come out of floor. Fan quit. Dangit!
I have a car interior car warmer, and it thawed it after 20 minutes. Banked some snow around the outside. Pumphouse is 250 feet away, knee deep snow. So my evening sucked.

What do you guys think? Looks to me viable...On early, all the adjustments are at the bell crank. And I know this setup is not entirely old style. I just liked the idea of the slot to prevent runaway throttle...

There's an kickdown rod that goes to the carb where it that has thread adjustment for the slotted part...

First you adjust the length of the middle rod that goes from the bottom of the trans to the top of the engine with the ball crank with a drill bit/rod in the holes to hold the bracket in relation to the throttle bracket....

Then put the horizontal rod that goes from the back of the engine to the carb and adjust the slotted part to where it bottoms out on the trans when the throttle is at wide open throttle - you don't want the linkage to prevent the throttle blades of the carb from opening all the way....

Get a kickdown linkage from a 67 - 72 318 or something close... The 2 bbl rod will be a little short, but there are tricks to extend it for the 4 bbl application - very easy....

It's explained at the end of this 4 bbl set up how to:

I think the single post is just neutral safety and the 3 prong includes back up lights.

I think the back up lights were triggered a different way than with the NSS switch when it was single...

Then they added it to the three prong in the later models...

Early does not have adjustments at the carb. Only at the bell crank....

Heres a good one why to treat people right.
About two years ago a guy on FBBO contacts me he has the old Halifax Cop Car from the late 70's and asks me if I know about its history. Hell no I was not here then. Hmmm Talk to Dean, well he and his dad did all the maintenance on it then. Give the guy his number and they talk car history. Pretty cool right? Fast forward. Get this crazy custom distrib order actually pretty large in the mail and a name and number out of nowhere.. OK get it done have no Idea how this guy knows me think it is Hemmings so I give him a call to let him know it is done. Talking to him I ask how we hooked up. I have the Halifax Cop car he says! Pretty cool the way things work out.
