YouTube channel

I also have a YouTube channel with videos that date back to 1976 (yes, really, but it's not my content - it is copyright-free, though - the girl in it went on to be professional singer). Video that I shot date back to 1985 (includes my wife's GTS convertible and my Barracuda convertible 21 years before it became mine).

1968GTSJimLusk is my channel name. Mostly car stuff, but a few other random things thrown in.

As far as equipment, mine has been shot on the following:
1. Sony EV-210 1" reel to reel (the 1976 footage)
2. Sony Betamax camcorder (dad's - bought 1983)
3. umatic (3/4" cassette similar to Beta mechanically)
4. VHS portable VCR and camera (bought 1985)
5. Sharp 8mm camcorder (bought early 1990s)
6. Sony 8mm camcorder (bought for my son's high school graduation 2002)
7. Panasonic MiniDV camcorder (bought 2003)
8. Sony HD digital camcorder (bought 2011)

I do not shoot video with my cell phone if it is anything important. I set up the camcorder on a tripod, turn the screen toward myself, and record. I have three different video editors. The one I use the most is Pinnacle. I also have Movavi and Power Director. You can crop upright video to look more like it was shot in landscape (as all video should be due to the orientation of TVs and monitors). I have also done a few tribute slide shows set to music (can't post those due to copyrighted music) where I crop the pictures before putting them into the video editor.

There is also lots of royalty free music out there if you're just looking for basic intro music.
