Question no 2 what to do whit combustion chamber policing?

I can’t see exactly where the hole is, but it’s near impossible to fix an issue like that on cast iron. You can’t get enough materiel in the right place to make it solid. So basically you end up with a blob of weld over a thin spot.

There is a chance you can pin the thing IF there is enough metal there to hold the pins.

Don’t polish the chambers. You can use a 40 grit paper roll, but that’s as fine as I’d go.

Ok what is pinning, the hoal is not wisibal in the foto

These heads are now garbage. Does the performance of your engine really need ported heads? It is now cheaper for you to purchase aftermarket aluminum heads like Edelbrock. They can be purchased already ported.

You might want to rethink your response.......The OP is from Sweden, nothing is cheap or easy to do

To the OP, a thought that just came to mind is ti may be possible to "spray" weld the area with powdered metal......it's an idea

In rust we trust one more hole in a other port rusted thrue total crap and yes i need ported heads unfortnely mopar parts are realy expensive on this side of the pawn the hole is in one of the intake ports not exost

They make tapered cast iron pins. You drill a hole at each end of a crack, or if the hole is small enough you get the hole to size and screw the pin in until it breaks off.

Then you drill another hole that is half way through the pin you just installed, so the pins overlap. Install the second pin and keep installing pins until the crack or small hole is sealed up.

The pins are pretty successful IF you can get them in the repair. Then you can add some stop leak to the cooling system to make sure you don’t have any little leaks.

Here is some free advice, and it’s worth much less than you are paying for it.

The exhaust port and valve in these heads is way too big to start with. So we’re I don’t the your heads, I’d get the best valve job I could squeeze in there, roll the short turn as best as I could and then I’d put the grinder down and walk away.

The port will flow more the bigger you are it, and it will also start killing power very quickly. Porting an exhaust and using flow numbers to determine of the port is getting better is the worst way to do it.

You want the exhaust port as small, as fast and as quiet as you can get it, and ignore the flow numbers.

That’s just my opinion.

Marine grade epoxy, or maybe baking soda and superglue...followed by a block sealer. could not hurt. Not the exhaust port so not critical heat there.

Wait...the hole is in the intake port and not the exhaust? If the above picture is correct, any good port work will break through there IF that hole is breaking through to the head bolt boss on the short bolt.

To fix that, you make up a spacer and JB weld it in place, and use a long head bolt in that hole. The spacer needs to be the same OD as the spot face or slightly smaller, and thick enough to run the long bolt.

If that’s not the hole you are talking about and the hole is in the exhaust port, then my above comments apply.

The hole is in the roof of the intake port but is the valves big enough in the stock 318 engine from a dodge van-89

Can some body answer my question reguarding the stock 318 heads do i need bigger intake valves thanks

Nope, unless you can’t get the valve job correctly on the port or the seat is beat down and sunk.

Spend your money on the best valve job you can get, and that isn’t 3 angles for that low port and valve angle. It should be 4 angles, with a full width top cut and the bottom angle should be .100 wide.

On the exhaust you want a radius with a full width top cut. Do NOT use a radius on the intake seat.

Ok thanks
New question how mutch can i plane(take of from the heads)i have ported the 318 heads and sorced out the valve job best option is to deck the block but its not an option was thinking that 3mm is duabole im going to cc the combchambers and run the numbers on comp ratio hoping for 9.5 whid original pistons and total seal head gasket going whid the 1.88 intake valve the seats are a little bangd down all intake heating is pluged even the mega hole in the exoseport made a forged metall slug and drilled and threaded it and bolted it down
