Round Back Alternator Rebuilder

I also wanted to keep the round back. I asked around and found a mom and pop independent starter/alternator rebuilder.
Luckily the son knew right away it was a roundback Mopar alternator (he was about 50 years old).
He got right to work on it, and got it charging for only $35.
I will ask him to clean it up next time when we aren't in a rush.
So, ask around, you should be able to find someone who appreciates what you are trying to accomplish.
If not? Maybe Jims guy in AZ would take in yours and ship it back?

I am sure he would. He would just need the housing and the diode block. He also can pull the pulley and change the front bearing too. He is over on the FBBO site (old Super Bee owner). He has a bead blaster and could carefully bead blast the housings for you too. Oh he keeps wanting to turn the brush slip rings on an armature but so far mine have not needed that :)
