Sure you do . You know how many gallons your tank holds and approx how many miles you generally get per tank . I have BMW dual sport with no fuel gauge but I know the low fuel light will come on around 170 miles and it will take 3 Gals to fill it up .
So how many miles can you drive before you generally fill up and how many gals does it take ? Even if you dont track it on paper you probably have a general idea .
