You need the recorded mileage before and after two complete tank fill ups. If you don’t fill the tank until the pump auto stops two consecutive times, its not worth recording.
That is my point . Even if you dont do the calculations and keep records we all have some idea of how far our car will go between fill ups . That is if you put many miles on it.
