68 Dart restoration in Russia

I bet it was a pilot production car. Those were never meant to get away from the factory. Incomplete vins, used for testing, or for new car advert pix, and brochures. A few have made it into the hands of private owners. They are pre production cars and are supposed to get destroyed after use. So when one "gets away" it's a pretty rare sight to see, and valuable.

I almost purchased a 1988 dodge Daytona Shelby Z it was a pilot production car. Had full vin. One data plate had all the codes, second data plate only said 1988 C1 PILOT on it. Vin Sequence numbers were 000001.

This car could also been a Switzerland made car possibly. They made A bodies there too. I heard they had impossibly short vins. This might account for the different rivets used that aren't "rosette" rivets.

Maybe somebody else on here can chime in with more information on the Switzerland built cars, and pilot production cars.

No, this Dart was not built in Switzerland, but in the Netherlands - in a plant in Rotterdam.
These Mopars have got those short VINs.
