I am putting 75 dart control arm to convert to disk brake setup , but the lower control arms do not have the brackets for sway bar mounts , has anyone fabricated a set and is it a certain design that can be made an welded on , I have seen pictures of brackets and they don't appear to hard to make , but do I need specific measurements ?

If your '72 lower control arms have the sway bar tabs, then use those control arms- they'll work just fine with the discs. It's the upper control arms that need to be changed for the disc brake swap.
Firm Feel has the tabs if you need them, or yes, you can make them.

What year k-member do you have ?

Is this for a 1972 A-body ?

Yes I have the whole setup from the 75 upper an lower but neither my original or the 75 have the tabs welded on

I have a 72 at the moment but has a slant six k member and I plan on swapping for a 73 or up spool type if I can find one

For a 1967-1972 K-member with sway bar in front of K-member

Hotchkis Sport Suspension 23366 Hotchkis Sport Suspension Sway Bar End Link Mounting Brackets | Summit Racing

Those are listed for B-bodies but they work for Abodies.
I will check this out thanks

Keep in mind that if you do swap out to a later spool-type K member, the sway bar and tab locations change, too- they are not interchangeable.

the 73-up spool mount take a different sway bar and lower control arm tab location.

you need to make a decision now what K-member you are using in future.

Left is 73-76 LCA
Right is 67-72 LCA

i've made them...quite easy.
get a piece of heavy 2" square tubing about 2 1/4" long and cut it
diagonally.Drill a hole in each flat and weld them on!

i think the 73 and later are shorter so they have much less vertical travel making
them less effective.

no.

there’s a combination of things going on.
1) length of the middle section (the shorter the stiffer)
2)arm length (shorter the stiffer)
3)location of attachment to LCA (closest to ball joint the stiffer)

1 and 2 make the 73-76 stiffer. But 3 makes the 73-76 less stiff. I think the combination makes them about equal.

It’s just a calculation.

There’s nothing dramatic about the handling between a 72 Duster 340 vs. 73 Duster 340.

This thread has been very informative. I am using this set up on my sons 71 dart. The K Member and lower control arms are he 73 and up style. Does that mean I use the straight away bar (see pic)? Also, where can I get new mounting tabs and bushings for it?

The brackets that you get will be square. I took the old swaybar from my '69 front suspension. This was going on my '72 Dart . Got my brackets from Bergman. Think that they will all be the same no matter who you buy them from. I had to bend the hell out of them to fit. The newer style looks to be much easier.

Is the correct sway bar the straight one?

If you have a ‘73+ K member and LCA’s you need to use the ‘73+ sway bar, which is the curved one that goes through the K member.

Is the correct sway bar the straight one?

That straight bar is a 70-74 E-body, 70-72 B-body.

The width distance between the sway bar eyelets is slightly different between E/70-72-B and 73-76 A-body.

Am I the only one who has never seen or know where that part goes?

The bracket? It goes here, on the lower control arm:

The exact position varies between '72 and earlier and '73 and later models. The majority didn't have any at all.

No, I mean the Moog part that was referred to in post #22.
