The performance/vacuum gauge in my 66 Barracuda 273 is connected to the gauge but isn't connected in the engine compartment. Where do I tap it into to get the gauge working properly?
 
Anywhere that you can get manifold vacuum. There are ports on the base of many carburetors. There also may be ports on your intake. You may need to buy some adapters to hook it up. Don’t use distributor vacuum hose.

I see the two places. Are these the only ones?

In the second second picture you can use the hole with the square head pipe plug as your port. Just need a fitting with the same threads and a small nipple for the vacuum hose.
 
if its the same as used on the 2nd generation cars, the vacuum hose is pretty small.
Redfish and I were posting about this in 2020. I think the hose fitting is 1/8".
If you can't find a NPT fitting with that size hose nipple, there are in-line hose to hose fittings that will let reduce the size.

The baseplate of the Holley carb ought to have a 3/16 manifold vacuum fitting on it. So that's an alternative but will need the reducer from the vauum hose that fits on it to the hose connecting to the vacuum gage.
