Pinion yoke cap loose?

Sorry about that! I’m usually pretty good about giving details. I have an 8.75 rear, not sure how to describe it better, other than the shield between the yoke and carrier is loose and not attached to anything. The photo shows the loose part circled, and the arrow shows where some gear oil has been slung as a result.
