Someone has the Whiskey throttle.... With that being said I will take 60k for mine. Someone can get a deal right now!

I think we are heading into a time for 70's A bodies. Guys in there 50's want to go back and get that first car

SHhhhhh...... best kept secret.... 318WR might sell his for 20k apiece :D

Never trust one auction sale. All kinds of funny business goes on there. And it’s in Florida to boot!

It’s a restomod car that could have tons more money dumped in it.

Anyone have more details in it? It looks mild in the picture. But that’s just on outside.

For a second, I thought it was this one...

1970 Plymouth Duster | eBay.com

Dude has had this one listed for well over a year

and it’s a Hemi dual quad, 4 speed conversion, rack and pinion, 4 link, Dana 60, tilt column, caged...

... and then the goofy stuff: 73-up buckets w/o hinge covers, spray bombed undercarriage, Mustang gas tank (sorta clever).

I toyed with the idea of a mustang fuel tank fory my build. I'm moving my fuel filler to the rear. I went with a Cuda tank instead.

I sold two Demons last year for $110K each. Sold two other ones in 2011 for $125K each. It all depends on what they are...

...heavy modded high level customs, top flight survivors, GSS’s

... are those close guesses?

Yep, same thing as other types of Mopars, you have good ones, you have middle of the road, you have bad ones. I have seen it plenty over the last 4 decades and if you have a good or rare car you are going to cash in, simple as that. Just saying "Dusters" are getting their due doesn't tell the story...

IMHO, those are elite cars you sold.

Better than just “rare” or “good”.

That Duster was a lot nicer when it was first built than it is now. The intake on that motor is one of maybe 3 on the face of this earth! The car ended up in the hands of the biggest crook in the state of NC, and it went downhill from there. It was built solid, was fast as hell with the other motor in it...but should be avoided like the plague due to shenanigan's from the aforementioned crook!

I was at the auction and saw the car, nicely done! I can guarantee there was much more in that car than what it sold for...1971 Plymouth Duster Resto Mod | S112 | Kissimmee 2021 | Mecum Auctions

I just was able to scroll through those pics. Nice car, but not $60K.

Not that you said it was worth what it sold for....

....but this is a case where the money spend is typically a lot different than what someone will pay.

I still have doubts it a real sale. Other than that, it’s a true outlier from typical sales. There’s a bell curve and this car would be at the thinnest most distant edge.

Great now parts will sky rocket.
Been living under a rock for the last year or two? People losing their jobs and these clowns raise their prices to stupid levels. There are people on this forum who literally sell broken junk carburetors that can not be used for 125$. Delusional. Hopefully it’ll only be left for the elite.
