Hey DY was going to ask you if your from Germany and moved here or what Country you lived in before.

Like Mark pointed out...im Dutch (though born less then an hour from the German border, as well as the Belgian border)

In short, I lived there untill I was 17
Then I met a girl online, which got terribly out of hand, and at 21 I moved to the USA to marry her, that was 17 years ago

For the time being, I'm happy being a resident alien, and maintaining my Dutch citizenship

As long as I have that, every child I father is by default also Dutch. Of course any child i father in the US is by default also an American, so all my children have dual citizenship, by birthright

If I want to become a naturalized citizen I need to renounce my Dutch citizenship, and if I do that, none of the children I father after that can make a claim to Dutch citizenship, so untill I know we're done having kids, im not gonna apply for US citizenship
