Sometimes I’m just to tired or lazy so I know how she feels.

Sometime in '69 I arrived under orders at NAS Glynco, GA for a couple of RADAR "C" schools in the US Navy. At one of the base check-in points, disbursing or personnel, was this woman. She was not terrible looking, though a bit chunky. She had dark hair and a short skirt, no stockings. She had shaved her legs UP TO ABOUT 6" below her skirt!!!

This is why we need an "unsee" machine.

RADAR lab "mockup" of the precision RADAR equipment for school. The 'scope up high was the much-hated "synchroscope" which was a troubleshooting oscilloscope. We "wasted" about 4 weeks in school trying to understand how to operate and repair it. Thankfully, when I arrived at NAS Miramar in May '70, the new version of the RADAR contained a nice new HP oscilloscope, and it was repaired and calibrated by the cal lab, so all we had to do is "use" it.

RADAR training units. These were designed near the end of WWII and were a master of design/ engineering "for how much ****" you could get into a truck van. The RADAR had a small narrow passageway down the center, equipment completely filled the van. It contained a search RADAR about 40mile range, the AZ/EL approach GCA RADAR (10 mi range) and 6 displays--3 PAR displays and 3 search displays. Contained 3 UHF and 3 VHF AM aircraft radios, with 3 operator positions "elbow to elbow."

I got an epic case of some kind of flu in the ?80's? I was working for the big parts store then. I believe I was off work for at least 2 weeks and was still "woozy" for weeks after. I started to grow a bear................I mean I stopped shaving..........and have not done so since

I've never growed a bear. What's that like? Do they eat much?

Same for myself. Went deer hunting for 2 weeks in a 14’x12’ wall tent in the being of November average temp -5 day -15 night. Stopped shaving never got back to shaving again that was 35 years ago. Don’t miss it not one bit.

I started growing a beard when my wife first got pregnant. She was sleeping most of the time anyway. Had it for many years, probably 40 anyway. Now I just have a stache and goatee.
 
I think I would have to drink at least a 24 pack of "Tranya" before I could hit that, plus I would need a crash course in "How to hike and survive in the Underbrush!!"
