Is there a shop in the LA area that y’all trust and isn’t charging by the hour to replace bearings?

Back story: I bought a drum to drum ‘66 8 3/4 b body rear and the axles it came with have bent retainers. I can bend them back, but I figured I might as well change them and the bearings out. I plan on ordering a Green Bearing Kit from Doctor Diff. After calling around, the shops in my area are either crazy expensive, or they don’t seem like a shop I’d trust with axles. I’ve watched videos on how to remove them and it’s not anything crazy, or out of my skill range, but I don’t have a press and figured why not let a pro do it all. At $100 labor plus another $80 for the bearings, I might as well buy new axles for $295 plus shipping($33). At this point I’m in so deep with this rear end that I don’t want to spend anymore than I need to, but too that point, what’s an extra $150 on top of $1700+? Grocery money. Lol.

Is your axle housing true?

Dont do anything before you know if it is even a good housing....

Trust me. Ive seen it first hand and it does not make for a good day...

Then just order new axles. I like working with Strange engineering but I hear good things about Dr Diff also.

The housing is true... Checked when the perches were moved to 43”. Thank you for the advice. I probably will just get new axles, even though I don’t want to spend the extra money.

Good money spent on axles will never let you down if you want power to pavement.
