The runner sizes in the Edel intakes are usually smaller in CSA than OEM because much has been learned about airflow since the original OEM intakes were designed.
That would be nice if it were true, but it's a very general blanket statement that can't be applied to all intakes. In a lot instances, aftermarket intakes have smaller runners for reasons not related to airflow.
