Whatever happened to whitepunkonitro

Yeah. So does (watch this) @CudaChick1968 lol

It's hard to remember a no good lying POS while I'm laughing Rob :D but you know my memory too well.

@66fyssh, David aka @grumpuscreature retained me to restore a large dress up package in International Harvester Gold -- basically baby $hit yellow -- and black and then disappeared so well for months that I actually believed he died.

Per my Company Policy I put his stuff up for sale when he failed to follow through with his monthly payment agreement ... but it was such an odd and undesirable color nobody wanted it.

On a job already $800 in the red, I eventually stripped it all and redid it in Hemi Orange and gloss black. Everything in the package sold (at a dramatic loss -- basically the cost of bare parts) except for the Offy Port-O-Sonic. A few months later I gave up and put it on my beloved Slimer, a replacement for a wallered-out leaking Strip Dominator.

I try to be easy to work with and can usually "make it happen" with everyone and their budget -- even monthly payments like he offered if that's how it has to be. Despite being born on a Tuesday, it wasn't LAST Tuesday and I don't take kindly to getting screwed over. His was the fourth time since opening in 2006.

I have offered labor discounts on ALL of Joey's forums for over a decade now from 5% to 12% (military/law enforcement). The only change to that policy was as a direct result of FABO members burning me on finished work too often. The last straw was a set of acorn center caps with TONS of tedious pot metal reconstruction work and a $350 invoice that garnered a postal money order for $125. They're still here a few years later.

Now ONLY Gold FABO members and military/law enforcement enjoy a labor discount.

The whole point of an enthusiast group is to learn, support and inspire each other. I learned ... the hard way.

Well if nothing else, at least you saved the world from seeing that god awful colour under a hood Leanna !

And there you have it. lol

A no name generic mustard? :rofl:This was a more accurate shot of the color. Yuck ...... In hindsight, I blame no one for not buying it as it was except the one who commissioned it. His color sample is right above the bracket.

I remember that. You tried like hell to sell that stuff. It was a hard sell for sure. Then you finally gave up and changed the color. You still have the intake on your car now, right?

what is wrong with returning broken or inoperable parts to the parts store.
Nothing at all. However, dishonest returns are another matter. I had some friends once who would buy their daughter a new dress for Easter, have her wear it with the tags still on and tucked in, and then return it after Easter. And dropping a drill off a roof is not a legitimate cause for returning an item. I wholeheartedly agree with honest returns.
