Go to street cam from the 70s-80s.

My first engine build was a 440. I used the MPP 284/.528/112 solid cam. I used it many times after that in both my cars and friends cars. That's a great cam for a street/strip car.

I used that cam in my first performance LA build, a 360 for my '71 Demon. Worked fantastic on the street and pulled (I couldn't believe it!) 15-16"hg vacuum at idle (800-900rpm). Ran 7.80s in the 1/8mi with 273 valve gear and later ran 7.60s with 1.6 Crane rollers and some other tweaks. Always wanted to try one in a big block, especially after Andy F reported his dyno findings. Very durable and stable at RPM.
