When you say what is going in, I thought you understood it's the Caltracs will be replacing the stock WELL the SS springs and it has now.
I wanted to know if they're are any shocks in particular that work better or worse with this set up.

If you have SS springs, the spring hanger is likely already drilled to the larger size, 5/8" I believe, where the stock bolt is 1/2".

Caltracs sells shocks to match their system. I assume they have sized the length properly. You don't want your shock limiting extension. As fas as setting up the bars, follow their instructions.
