what if you tapped onto the UCA forcing the morse taper ball stud into the UCA? It may hold the stud enough to tighten the cranky nut, lube wouldnt hurt on the threads either.
It was in about as far as it would go. I just thought it was a handy way of getting it done without too much headache. This Jeep is on it's way out, and the steering knuckle and/or ball joint could very well be worn enough to allow it to spin.
