I think you're good.

I just swapped my 1.125" for a 15/16" recently. Probably 25 short quick pumps and I was done. Love the pedal feel now. Not as much leg muscle to stop.

I think I agree with the part about being done pumping it.

It's installed on the car, finished the lines as I had to put on the fittings that attach to the proportioning valve.

Sprayed the inside of the lines with brake cleaner to ensure they were all clean of dirt and debris. They can air dry over night.

Tomorrow I'll hook up the lines and then convince the wife to help me bleed the system.

Then ill take it by Tony's house a morning I don't have any patients and he said we can use his mighty vac bleeder to bleed the system and ensure it doesn't have any air in it... then if this doesn't work my prop valve is no good... and if that isnt the culprit.... well then I'm fucked

Well keep thinkin that way and that's the way it'll happen. lol

Well the lines are installed but I haven't had help yo bleed them. The wife went shopping when our baby went down for a nap and got back after she woke up.

So it'll have to wait until tomorrow

My wife still recalls falling asleep in the driver's seat bleeding brakes about 30 yrs ago. Last time she's done it until finally gave in this year!! (And was NOT happy to do it....)

Now that would be funny. My wife hates helping me bleed the brakes, mainly because our two older kids are crazy and can't get along for more than 3 minutes and the baby can't be left alone unless she is sleeping lol

Can I stop pumping this damn thing already lol...

I've pumped it probably 100 times tonight and my skinny *** arms are getting tired... Only a couple itty bitty air bubbles, but I think they are coming from the rubber lines slightly moving...

I have a pressure bleeder that takes care of that.......when
you get old...you find the easy way of doing things....and being a one man show...
welcome to borrow it.....

Pumped it a touch more, no more air bubbles in the MC, not that I was getting to come out of it when pumping it. I tilted it up and down as well, to make sure I didn't have one hidden in any weird spots either.

Just gotta get the wife to help me pump the system out now

90% of my work indo on my own - either out of stubbornness or impatience. There's very few things that can't be done by a one man band.

For bleeding brakes I've always had good luck by running a tube (clear, preferably) from the bleeder into a cup of fluid. Crack the bleeder just slightly and start pumping the brakes. Helps to mark the cup ahead of time and ensuring the cup is filling as you pump (sanity check).
Helps to pre-fill the tube with some fluid to prevent sucking air back, but it's usually not entirely needed. I rarely do it.. Speed bleeders can also be used, the tubing helps keep them from making a mess.

Has worked for me for years. I use the method on my bikes also for flushing the brakes and clutch slaves.

Also possible to cut a length of PVC or 2x4 to wedge against the seat - move the seat forward to hold the pedal down on the last pump and then go close the bleeder (I use a rubber band on the bikes).

I've seen it done like this and I actually once did it kind of like this a couple months ago. Worked pretty well. I just prefer to have the wife's help so I can ensure it's done as good as I can get it. Plus I can check for any leaks in the system at the same time.

Good point. I only had bleeding in mind, but you're replacing lines too which I hadn't considered.

Good call.

Maybe an air piston attached to your compressor so you can use a Toggle switch to push and release? LOL.

Wife helped me bleed the brakes... they feel much better! In the garage at least... I havent driven anywhere, but I'm about to go to sams club which is about a 7 minute drive from the house

Dtove like a charm. No more brakes dragging and the new MC has a 100% better pedal feel.

I'm going to bleed the brakes 1 more time (at Tony's hoyse) just to ensure no air at all in the lines.

Before starting it today I adjusted my choke and fast idle cam and the car starts up perfect now.

I also need to mess with my alignment some more. The passenger tire gas to much camber/caster...

Best looking car in the parking lot.

I messed with the cam bolts... I think its "good."

My helper said it looks great! She wanted to go for a drive and see how good of a job we did... but unfortunately it's to late. So we will try it out tomorrow...

I keep forgetting to put my rear door cards back on. Its a lot more noisy while driving with them off...

Oh I also think I found what could be causing my speedo to bounce... the speedo has a nice scrape in it next to the subframe before it goes into the transmission. Maybe another day....

I have a camber/caster gauge also.......lol

still got two girl friends too...lol

You just have 1 of everything... except girlfriends... because you have 2 of those

I mean, I need to get over there anyways. Spring break is coming up soon, so I should have some extra free time.

well...next week sometime we switch gears ....need to get a couple of race cars ready for TnT on Saturday March 13

Oh that sounds exciting! If only I could get my transmission in tippy top shifting shape, I must start fiddling with it now... I would say we could race... but your duster is must to fast now and my converter is no where near a race converter lol

my duster does not have a race converter in it....like a 2300 stall...

wait for the midnight madness races for street cars..

The TnT are alot more expensive then the midnight madness.......about 3 times...lol.....
