@CudaChick1968 does powder coat work ok on springs? Will it chip?

With few exceptions, most any metal can be powder coated. Leaf springs are one of few things I prefer not to despite doing this since 1999.

Spring steel combined with dis- and reassembly along with replacing Delrin liners on crucial parts is more liability than I want to take on. A leaf spring failure can be catastrophic and kill somebody.

Just normal operation is going to affect any finish because they move and flex so much. Powder is more flexible than paint but wear can be expected over time regardless. If you're considering it Tim, please research it more thoroughly ahead of time and make the decision that's right for you.

Here are two videos I uploaded on my YouTube channel. Too lazy to Edit and combine there, so here...

Looking for defrost vent hoses for my 66. WTF. no one has the correct size hoses. On a 66, one end of hose is of a larger diameter then the other end. NO one has this.....Ant one find the correct hose?

What I used to do for my daily drivers is buy bulk vent hose in the diameters of both ends, then cut off lengths of each one, install them on the vent and the housing, then duct tape them together in the middle where they meet...

It was functional and worked well... Who's gonna look under the dash to see???

Good Evening All! Spent most of the day in the trunk of my Duster, seems bigger when you're trying to make it ALL shiny metal lol! It's not exactly a boat back there but I did find some more fiberglass hiding tape/bondo job, will post a pic tomorrow. It's a chance for me to learn to fabricate a curved patch panel. Today also took a trip to Del Fox Meats, bought up some sausage in "Country" seasoning, they're the ones who will butcher the 1/2 pig we bought, want to get an idea of what that tastes like before we commit.

There's a deli near me that makes their own fresh sausage and smokes it every morning... They even make fresh rolls that you can use to make sandwiches out of them...

Ahhh, Look what she got me for dinner tonight. I'm sure there's more to go with it. And then later Desert ????

Here's a surprise I ran into scraping paint in the trunk of the Duster yesterday. I thought it looked like a patch!

Paint what??
Ask Tike!
I thought you left Rani. If you go back you will see a Daffy image shaking a can of paint being thrown up by certain members here. It looks like Daffy is doing something else but he is truly shaking a can of spray paint. I cannot show it here because I do not have it on my computer! But certain members do and those certain members like to use it against other "cool" members

House update the seller who now lives out of state, received our offer and is eager to work with us. Hopefully we have this all done next week. In the meantime the to do list continues to grow. We are giving them an extra month and not closing until 1 June.
The house we are purchasing is still full of furniture, clothing, even her car in the garage. She (the owner) just left one day with her daughter, and went to live with the daughter. They have a lot to do in order to move out. We want to have everything done at this house we want done before we move in.
We want to get our house on the market early May. The housing market here is crazy. Our neighbor sold their house a couple months ago 52k above asking price, a bidding war took place. Another neighbor put their house on the market yesterday, and last we heard had a cash offer 15k above asking and no inspections :wtf: We want to get in on that!!
