Look on the net for Scorpion failures. One person didn't realise that the 'fretting' of the blue anodising was because the alum was stretching underneath. A timebomb in the waiting.
Is it possible you had counterfeits? Like I've said, I've used dozens of sets of Scorpions on brand X stuff and have only ever been impressed with the quality vs cost. With a .950" and 950lbs open guarantee and I think they still offer a lifetime warrranty (they used to) I still trust them. J.Rob
