Another A/C question

Bouchillon Performance also sells Sanden AC brackets for the small-block, but check years. Probably the main difference in 1966 was the thinner cast-iron water pump. Otherwise, that pump has the same holes and even an extra hole floating in space (for p.s. pump bracket), so seems you could handle slimmer with thick spacers. The pulleys also vary. Your 1966 factory AC may be like my 1969 Dart was, with a single thick AC belt which might have been innermost, though that was a slant. I recall ~1970 the small-block AC had 2 inner belts, but verify google images. Anyway, pulley and belt issues often arise, such as from an after-market crankshaft damper which moves the lower pulleys outward, so many can be solved. The companies selling brackets say "won't fit" because they don't want angry customers flaming them in reviews, but doesn't mean you can't make it work. Spend time on google images and you might find a photo of a guy who solved the "Sanden in early small-block" issue.
