Anyone cut lower 1/4 in front of rear wheels to fit 315/60/15?

I did on the Duster, cut a piece of heavy poster board in the desired cut (follow lip curve about 1” over) mark a line, holding zero at top move bottom over the amount you need for clearance, mark a line. I made mine at the bottom flush with inner fender. Cut inside each line with a cut off wheel till bottom cut touches panel. Trim a little at a tim till they line up then tack weld. Use same pattern for both sides. Keep away from the crease and as much of the curvature as possible, easier to weld a flat surface. I’ll take a pic tonite of mine, 30/9/15 radial slick for me.
My cut started just above that bottom crease but still keep curve looking uniform
Thanks for the info.Looking forward to see pics
