Hey all,

I just dropped a small washer from the throttle linkage into the heat sink gap for the exhaust crossover of the intake.

How big an issue could this create? I really don’t want to pull the intake, but I will if there is any chance that washer could work it’s way inside the motor. I don’t think it can, but looking to experts here. Thanks in advance

this is in the space in the head above the exhaust crossover right? if so it doesn't connect into the crankcase. To boot you manifold doesn't even have a crossover provision under the carb, in the manifold, so I don't think that removing the manifold will help in any case. I'd forget about it until you have to take that head off for some reason

Leave it. You can fish it out when you pull the heads 20 years from now.

You could try magnetizing the end of a thin wire or small screwdriver?

Pack some field mice turds, those mini acorn balls, and squirt some motor oil in there and forget about it. It’ll all cook up to a nasty black goopy sludge in no time.

Dropped a washer and a carb clip gave up after a half hour that was last year.

Little piece of copper mesh ( like pot scrubber ) cut to fit. Never loose a small part in it again.
